Gambit

After inhaling more solder fumes, I finally finished the sensing matrix comprised of 64 hall effect sensors spaced at 2.25 inch increments with a wiring format that is easy to route within the pane of acrylic I will be using.

I have used an immense amount of wiring and will not be able to replicate the matrix with the amount of wires I have left, but luckily, the current matrix will suffice.

Full Matrix

With the matrix complete, I went ahead and began editing the script to account for all of the new columns and rows. From there, I immediately saw that the system was obtaining readings from each sensor by putting a magnet in each of their proximities

Along with that, I added the acrylic sheet of around .22 inches, the thickest I would ever consider using for the system and saw that the hall effect sensors were still capable of reading the magnet placed above it. Success. Success at last.

Magnet Check

On top of getting the sensing matrix sorted, I also recieved a set of new limit switches. I ordered these new switches due to their smaller size in hopes of having an easier installation.

Habit Tracking

Today, I journaled, worked out, read, tracked my caloric intake, and worked on at least one of my personal projects. Today was a good day.

What I am thankful for

I am thankful for the sensing matrix. It has kept me patient and made me joyous when I saw it complete.
