Father's Day

I finally got to working on some of the other components that needed to be redesigned for the chessboard gantry. Like that of the mounts on the sliders and the electromagnet holder.

Along with that, I was able to talk to the man that has shaped my life.

Gambit

The parts of the gantry desperately needed redesigning. The main issue is the overall size of the board. With new motors and some changes on a few components, the height of the board can be drastically decreased.

The two parts that were altered were the sliders and the rod mounts. The slider mounts are to be designed to hold the bearings in which the belts will pass through. Before putting those rods where the bearings can be places, I wanted to make sure that it fit well within the linear bearings that I currently have.

Along with these slider mountsa I created the covers for the rod mounts. In doing so, the assembly model could be further enhanced to create a better representation of what I am trying to achieve.

Assembly Update

In fixing a mistake that I made a few days ago in designing something that could be used to soldr some components together, I was able to have the wire management system reprinted. It made the soldering much easier and should speed up the process if I end up making another 8x8 array.

Father's Day

My dad has played the largest role in my life. From taking me to countless soccer tournaments, supporting all of my endeavors, to always being someone that can listen to any of the issues I have faced in my years. Words cannot describe what this man means to me. Everything that I do in pursuing a better future is to ensure that I can give back to him and my mother for everything they have done for me.

Thank you, Pops. For all that you have done and continue to do. It has never gone unnoticed.

Habit Tracking

Today, I journaled, stetched, read, tracked my caloric intake, and worked on at least one of my personal projects. Today was a good day.

What I am thankful for

I am thankful my father. I could only hope to be as good to my kids as you were for the family.
